Project Details Production Line Hydraulic System
Project started mid 2006 General Construction furnished and installed this system, which supplies hydraulics to airplanes during assembly. The primary components include a 1,500 gallon stainless steel storage tank and 6,600 feet of stainless steel pipe. The piping installation required more than 850 welded connections, many in difficult, awkward, and tight positions. Quality control included 100% x-ray weld inspection of all joints on the high pressure supply side as well as 8,500 psi pressure testing of the entire system. General also self-performed all the electrical and controls work on this project.
