General Construction Company and Kiewits Western Canada District formed a Joint Venture partnership for the installation of a fifth penstock at Revelstoke Dam in British Columbia. The penstock is approximately 250 ft. long and connects the reservoir to a turbine unit via a 26 ft. diameter steel pipe. Kiewits Western Canada is also responsible for all concrete incasing the generator unit. The turbine generator unit at the base of the dam is being installed under a separate contract, by Voith Seimens.
